Ah, here we are! 

Welcome to the world fresh new blog that hopefully won't lay forgotten like many other ideas and side projects I work on. I know, I know... 'But a blog? Really? That's so.... early 2010 of you. Nobody blogs anymore.'

True. Now vlogging is definitely the way to go. Everyone wants to be a Youtuber, a streamer, a online influencer or entertainer of sorts. Which isn't a bad thing! Hey, if you've got the knack for it then hell yeah! Be that Youtuber/Streamer/whatever else there is like that. Working from home is one of the absolute benefits of our current society. You can make bank and never have to change from your jammies. Sounds like a dream!

I am not one of those people though. Someday I will be! But for right now I am stuck in a 9-5 desk job, making ends meet and trying hard to grind my way up to the top. 

'Alright so what's the reason for a blog then?' 

Glad you asked! Admittedly my 9-5, like most, is of the soul sucking variety. I didn't realize how bad it was until just recently, after close to 5 years of it. Things I used to love doing and incorporating into my daily life are gone and it just feels like an endless cycle of wake up, work, sleep and do it all over again. (Hooray for adulting..) I guess it's the Mercury Rx energy but I am taking a look at my life's journey so far and, well, the word yikes sort of sums it up quite nicely. It's not all bad there's a lot of good things too but I definitely see the areas of my life where the joy has been mostly squandered. Also, you see, I have this really bad habit of trying to compartmentalize myself and my interests. I have separate tumblrs and instas for various interests and I often get so caught up in keeping those things separate that it tires me out and the fun in the creative aspects fall flat all too soon. I realized I need a place where I can write, and let my ideas, passions, hobbies, likes and creativity meld together and not feel bad about it. Not feel like my posts have to be cohesive or aesthetically pleasing because isn't that what instagram and tumblr and youtube are all about? So where can I just make an absolute mess of things and not worry too much about that? What better place for that than a blog?

Since this is more for myself, I don't have to worry about views or reads or stats and the pressure to post content others like is not as grave compared to other platforms. Not like my other social media places are poppin' or anything like that. I just know too many people on there that the authenticity of everything begins to effect my level of comfort. Plus many people also don't really care to read the blabberings of someone in their late 20's either so really its a great win/win scenario.

Also I am just a complete chaotic mishmash of hundreds of interests and you really never know what you are going to get.
